MONTSERRAT TOMATO: A tomato with a tall bush, ribbed, and without a lot of pulp. Its colour can be different shades depending on how ripe it is. It has hollow places inside. It is a high-quality tomato that is perfect for stuffing its cavities with food and edible mixtures. Sowing: In seedbeds. Transplanting: to 70 cn rows, leaving 40 cm between plant within the same row.
DOUX DE FLORENCE FENNEL: Measures around 50 cm. in height and has finely divided leaves. The petioles swell and lie on top of one another to form a soft and aromatic bulb, which is used in salads. The whole plant is used as a seasoning. Cultivation: light, fertile soil in a sunny position. Cover the base with earth to blanch the bulb.
TETRAGONIA (Tetragonia tetragonoides): This plant is similar to spinach and is also know as the spinach of New Zeeland. A vigorous plant that can be 50-70 cm. high. Sow: To soil with minimum temperature of 12-14 ºC after soaking sed 10 hours in water. Sow: 7-8 seeds per hill in 130 cm. rows in well prepared soil. Thin: At leaf stage to 3 plants per hill. Fertilize: With a 1-1-1 mixture.
CARROT TOUCHON 10GR. ROCALBA: Long root variety (18-20 cm.), cylindrical in shape with rounded ends, intense orange colour, no differentiated heart, neck pokes out slightly from soil. Medium developed foliage. Mid-cycle. Cultivation: loose, well-fertilised soils. Sow directly into soil in rows and thin out leaving 6-7 cm. between plants. Sow at any time, excepting cold months.
CARROT NANTESA 5-CORAL 15GR. SUPERBOL: Variety that combines all of the good qualities of Nantes carrots in a cylindrical, blunt tipped form with a well colored heart and little to no fiber. Resistant to bolting. Sow: directly in 20-30 cm. rows, at a depth of 0,5 cm. Thin leaving 1 plant each 5 cm.
MEDIUM LENGTH PARSNIP GUERNSEY: Hardy and very productive variety with high quality roots. Elongated and pointed roots with smooth, white skin. Cultivation: sow in deep soi0, from february to septemberl. Keep soil damp until the plant has completed developed.
PEPPER PIQUILLO 1GR. ROCALBA (CAPSICUM ANNUUM L.): Mid-early variety, vigorous growth. Small (10x6 cm), triangular fruit, with and almost smooth surface, straight. Thick flesh, strong red colour and small heart. Delicate flavour, which is very characteristic of this variety. Cultivation: sow in a sheltered spot. Sow in winter. Transplant when plant has 5-6 leaves and is 15 cm. tall. Keep soil fresh and loose.
ATLANTIC GIANT PUMPKIN 5GR. ROCALBA CUCURBITA MAXIMA DUCHESNE): Produces very large fruit. Red-orangey colour, hard and ribbed skin. To obtain very large fruit space the plants 3 meters apart and leace 3 fruit per plant, finally removing all but the most developed fruit. Cultivation: deep rich soil. Keep constantly, but not excessively damp.
